All your life throwing away birthday balloons and it turns out that it is possible to reuse them to make a cheap designer LED lamp.

A very easy and quick DIY project that we can do at home with a very professional result. LED bulbs are already a must-have in our homes, but if we are tired of the typical lamps that are sold in shops, all very similar, and we want to give our home a special touch, fortunately it is possible to make our own model with simple materials and for little money.

On this occasion we are going to look at an interesting project in which they have made one using classic balloons for parties and birthdays and balls of wool, cheap and easy to use materials.

How to make your lamp with balls of wool

We found the idea on the TikTok account of @tamibloss and all we need is an old balloon that you can then deflate, some balls of wool or jute thread, carpenter’s glue and an LED bulb as well as a socket to put it in.

First, take the inflated balloon or a soccer ball, stick a rectangular cap on the top surface and a bowl on the bottom. Then, take the wool of the color you want or the jute thread, join two at a time and wet them with carpenter’s glue and then stick them on the main surface.

We go around the top part twice and make circular movements until we have covered the whole ball. We stick everything down well, sealing the end and leaving it to dry for a couple of days.

Once the waiting time is up, we have to remove the thread stuck to the surface by pricking the balloon or deflating the ball. We remove the containers from the base and we will see how the basic structure of what is going to be our lamp has turned out.

Now we just have to include the socket with the bulb. We can also cover the cable with the same thread that we used to make the lamp and we have our decorative lamp.

If we want to give it more personality we can try choosing yarns of different colored wool, such as an intense yellow or a bright red that will attract attention. We can also choose to install RGB LED bulbs that can change color so that they illuminate, giving a special touch to the room.
